Conference participants are encouraged to contribute papers on the following topics: daily life, city planning and urban growth, gender relations and social practices, ethnic conflict and mass politics, transcendence of power and social institutions between the late imperial and early Soviet periods, representations of Kyiv in popular and tourist literature, memory politics etc.
Interested participants should send a short CV (up to 2 pages) and annotation (up to 300 words) to the address
cpes.ukma@gmail.com by August 1, 2015. The participants will be informed about the results by September 1, 2015. All the
chosen participants should send the text of their papers two weeks prior to the conference.
Limited funding for accommodation is available.
